Tenuta La Braccesca – one of the first acquisitions Antinori in 1990 – is located a few kilometers from Montepulciano, to the south-east of Tuscany, on the border with Umbria. Property has a total area of 380 hectares and consists of two parts: the historical center, located in the south of Montepulciano and occupies 86 hectares, planted with vines for the best Nobile di Montepulciano production, and 294 hectares of land between Montepulciano and Cortona, of which 151 hectares placed under vineyards at the foot of the hills surrounding the town of Cortona.
Excellent wine “Bramasole” made from grape varieties Syrah, grown on clay soil vineyards “La Braccesca”, located in Cortona DOC at an altitude of about 290 meters above sea level. 2008 harvest was collected manually at the time of optimal ripening of the grapes in mid-September. With an average vine shoot from one to one and a half pounds, is very low yields, in which the berries show a great level of maturity and balance. After gentle pressing berries are a 7-day fermentation and cold maceration in contact with the skin in steel containers at a temperature not above 28 ° C. Then the wine is aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels. Vintage bottling took place in the summer of 2010.
