Prunotto, Barbaresco – very beautiful, intense wine with a beautiful structure, concentrated flavor and balanced, full velvety taste. The wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in vineyards in the Barbaresco zones and Tracy. Land these zones associated with tortonianskim (Tortonian) period. They are rich in elements such as manganese, zinc and boron, which tend to form a laminar layer of silty loam. Wine storage capacity is on average 15 years.

2010 began with a very cold and snowy winter, which delayed the development of the vines. Spring and early summer were characterized as rather cool and rainy weather with temperatures below the average seasonal index, except for some brief warm periods. In late July, resumed warm weather, partially restoring the delay. The difference between day and night temperatures in August, along with selective thinning of the vines allowed the grapes to achieve good health, despite the heavy rains during this period. Selected berry varieties Nebbiolo have been cleared from the stalks and crushed. Maceration lasted 15 days at a temperature of 30 ° C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. Excerpt wine was carried out for 12 months in French oak barrels for 50 and 75 hectoliters, as well as a small part was kept in barriques. Further aging in bottle lasted 10 months and was held in the basement of the winery.

For this purpose were acquired additional vineyards, updated equipment and remodeled basement. In 2000, the old oak barrels of 100 hectoliters were replaced by 50 and 75 gektolitrovye that are better suited for realizing the potential of wines. Bottling line has been updated with the help of machines with advanced technology, which protects the wine from possible oxygenation negative at this stage.
