Tenuta Guado al Tasso – farm with vineyards area of 80 hectares, Antinori family legacy in the 30-ies of XX century. Name of the economy means “timid badgers” in honor of the animals that live in streams around the estate. Guado al Tasso vineyards have a privileged location – surrounded by the hills, just 5 km from the sea. Favourable Mediterranean climate – hot summers and constant fresh breeze – remarkably promotes the maturation of the grapes, making wine Tenuta Guado al Tasso have excellent quality.

Wine “Guado al Tasso” created since 1990. Varietal composition of the blend varies depending on the vintage and quality of the crop. 2011 is characterized by an early spring and a cool July. The end of August and beginning of September were warm, with temperatures above average. The grapes are harvested by hand and put into small boxes. Berries are subject to careful selection of vineyards as well as after desteblyatsii. One of the highlights of creating wine with pure, stylish and fresh fruit flavor is separate fermentation of each grape variety at a moderate temperature. Then the malolactic fermentation and 18 months, the wine aged in small oak barrels. After bottling the wine for 10 months was aging in the cellars of the winery.

Its history dates back to the company Antinori in 1385 and today it operates a representative of the 26th generation of the family – the Marquis Piero Antinori. Largely thanks to his talent and winemaker relentless pursuit of excellence, Italian wines are among the best examples of world winemaking, and the name Antinori became a symbol of innovation and quality. Today, the company owns several Antinori wine houses in various regions of Italy, as well as vineyards in Chile, California and Hungary. The company tries to keep the originality of wines specific to each area, and their main characteristics are quality and Italian elegance.
