Wine “Salmos” – a tribute to the courageous monks Carthusian Order, who came to the Priory in 1095. Here they founded a monastery and smashed the magnificent vineyards. In 1835, a crowd of robbers attacked the monks, destroyed the vineyards, plundered the monastery, which was later put up for auction for the sale of church lands known as “Desamortizacion de Mendizabal”. In 1996, the Torres family started planting vineyards in Priorat, on the slopes strewn with the hard black slate, which is also called “Licorella”. This creates a slate of poor and marginal lands that reduce forces the vines, which leads to a decrease in the number of berries, but improving their quality. “Licorella” is a great property to act as a regulator of temperature, absorbing heat during the day and releasing it at night.

It is created exclusively from our own grapes grown in the municipalities of Porrera Torres and Lloar. After fermentation, the wine was sustained 12 months in barrels of new French oak. Storage capacity of the vintage of 2012– to 2020.
