Dry red wine “Masseria Maime” 2010 has excellent structure, created from grapes Negramaro grown in the region of Salento (Puglia).
The climate of 2010 can be divided into two periods: before July the weather was cool enough that a few slow development of the vines, but in August and September was a hot season and little rainfall. Grapes Negramaro reached full maturity in 20 days of September. Ripening of the grapes took place during a very hot period, which contributed to the high level of concentration of tannins and a higher than normal acidity. After pressing, fermentation was made in steel tanks at a temperature of 26-28 ° C. Maceration pump with a regular and gentle pumping delestazhem lasted for 15-18 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging of wine carried in barrels of French and Hungarian oak and lasted 12 months. After bottling, the wine is aged an additional 12 months.

Apulia is located in the south of Italy. To the east, it is bordered by the Adriatic Sea, the Gulf of Taranto in the south and the Ionian Sea, and from the west is protected by the Apennines. All this creates a unique but rather complex climate. The history of winemaking in Puglia dates back to the V century BC. It produces a huge amount of wine, and if this area was previously known lowly table wines, now undergoing a revolutionary upsurge of the Apulia wine.
The winery was established Tormaresca Antinori family in 1998 on the basis of two names: Minervino Murg, located near Bari and other estates near Brindisi. Tormaresca produces two white and two red wines that reflect the diverse nature of Puglia. The main red wines is the local variety Negramaro, with a rich aroma of black berries. Philosophy Tormaresca, due to which the winery in a short time managed to achieve success and to achieve universal acceptance, is the production of typical Apulian wines with a rich fruity bouquet.
